Our small village of Marling, with around 2,500 inhabitants, may not be one of the largest, but it is certainly one of the most charming villages in all of South Tyrol. Both visitors and locals are convinced that it offers the best of everything. The proximity to Meran brings city flair within easy reach, while its elevated position – high above Meran – surrounded by apple orchards, vineyards, and of course, mountain panoramas, offers the peaceful tranquility of a rural setting.
The Waldner family also has its own fruit orchards and a winery. Feel free to ask us for tips about Marling, we’ll be happy to help!

Parish Church of the Assumption of Mary
The 74-meter-high Romanesque tower of the parish church rises impressively into the sky. The side chapel of the neo-Gothic building dates back to the 13th century and houses valuable frescoes from around 1400. By the way, a poem about the "Bells of Marling" was set to music by none other than Franz Liszt.
