Alpine to Mediterranean
THE ACTIVE WAY
Once a week you can join us on a hike to our own alpine pasture – and there are numerous other hiking destinations in the immediate vicinity of the Oberwirt calling you to explore.
Meran
Discover the most beautiful side of the spa town of Meran, where around 60 kilometres of flower-lined hiking trails tempt you out for a walk. Countless trails along the Passer river, on the slopes of the local Küchelberg mountain and the Tappeiner promenade provide endless variety.
For summit stormers
From Marling, it’s just a short trip to three well-known mountain groups: Perfect for peak-blazers. Enjoy the adrenalin buzz on an ascent of the Texel Group, the Sarntal Alps or the Ulten mountains.
Marlinger Waalweg
The “Waalweg” irrigation channel paths are also close to the Oberwirt, where you can hike along roughly 13 kilometres of gentle paths and past the rippling waters flanking the Marlinger Berg Mountain.
Marlinger Berg – Almboden
The trail from Marling over Senn am Egg leads along moderately difficult trails up to the Almboden on Marlinger mountain, where a magnificent mountain panorama rewards you for your efforts.
Marlinger high-mountain trail
Walk from farm to farm, past stately chestnut trees across meadows and through forests, high up to the sweeping views over the Meran basin and the surrounding mountains and peaks.
